Help celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering to serve during the MLK Season of Service (Jan. 15th – Apr. 4th 2017).
For the past 13 years, Service for Peace has been heading up the Martin Luther King Jr. Season of Service, where over 10,000 volunteers have come out to serve the less fortunate in our community. One of Dr. King’s famous quotes was that “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
You too can honor the life and legacy of Dr. King by volunteering to serve your neighbors and help create the beloved community that Dr. King dreamed of.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Participate in the MLK Jr. Food Drive by collecting non-perishable food items and dropping them off at any area Kroger store in the DareToCare food bins.
- Get involved in the 40 Days of Peace campaign with your friends and family and help reduce crime and violence in our community. Click here for more information on the 40 Days of Peace.
